This is not a Pipe
Nowadays, the diversity in our society is increasing, but a lot of prejudice still exists. There are various labels and stereotypes for specific groups like non-white, women, LGBT, the disabled, etc. In this experimental project, I want to express that some of the so-called differences are not due to the divergence of nature, but just because of the angles and media that we use to observe.
Inspired by This is not a Pipe, a famous painting by René Magritte, I designed these special boxes with two small holes on the walls. Looking at the pipe through the holes and specified equipments, you can see entirely different pictures of the same pipe symbolizing the occurrence of prejudice.
