Pivot
This is my thesis project for MFA Design from the School of Visual Arts. I created a set of mechanical toys called Pivot that encourages children to explore science and engineering. It consists of a variety of different wooden components. Its main advantage comes from its emphasis on flexibility because Pivot provides a vast array of possibilities that empower children to achieve almost any type of mechanical movement. Pivot also comes with a guide book and a supporting app. I was honored when this project won the SVA Alumni Scholarship Awards and the Paula Rhodes Award.
