Art Walk

The relationship between the artist and the audience is sometimes very subtle. The artist is the first creator of a work, and the audience can re-create and interpret the work. There is no right or wrong in the discussion of any piece of art.

I wrote and designed this pop-up book to explore the artist/audience relationship. The book consists of two parts: a collection of poems to illustrate the artist's subjective perspective, and a set of scripts simulating conversations between audience members visiting an art gallery. Each chapter uses a different structure, as if it were an independent room in the gallery to explore artistic themes such as color, composition, and brush strokes.
